I DID IT! Ahhhhh! .
Shaved almost TEN minutes off of my last race time (again) and finally ran a sub 2:30 half marathon!
Pushed aaaaalot harder than last time, and it paid off! Literal tears of joy because I just never thought I could do it 😭😍
I started 2017 15lbs heavier and never ever running anything beyond a 5k, and now I've ran 13.1x3 (x4 next month), starting at 2:47 and shaved down to 2:25! Ahhhh! Next stop: VEGAS in 3 weeks👊🏽 .

Since a bunch of you asked what I eat for breakfast everyday I thought I would share it with you 🙂. I recently heard Kelly LeVeque with @bewellbykelly on the @almost30podcast (the best!) and she talked about her "Fab Four" recipes. One catergory are her smoothies that she creates for breakfast.
The Fab Four includes: 20 grams of Protein min, 1 tbsp healthy fat (coconut oil, ghee butter), 10g Fiber min. (flaxseed), and a bunch of Greens (spinach, kale).
You can also add in a 1/4 cup of fruit for sweetness (or 1/2 a banana for creaminess) and 6oz-8oz of unsweetened nut milk (almond, cashew).
The Fab Four smoothies are meant to help keep your blood sugar level in the morning and avoid a sugar spike. It also helps turn off your hunger hormone and keeps you full for 3-4 hours! That's RIGHT ladies and gents, you read that right -- 3 to 4 HOURS!! 😱
That means no more reaching for a sugar snack or binge eating at lunch. And trust me when I say. it works! I'm the queen 👑 of snacks and I don't get hungry in between 😮.
And it's so freaking EASY!! My body feels more energized and nourished. I even sometimes sneak one of these in for dinner 😋.

Chocolate Banana Protein Shake:
1/2 organic banana
2 scoops chocolate Orgain (Protein Powder/got at Costco)
1 tbsp organic coconut oil (Healthy Fat)
Flaxseed (Fiber/doesn't taste like anything)
Frozen organic spinach (handful or two)
6oz-8oz (1 cup) of unsweetened nut milk (I use Cali Farms unsweetened almond milk or unsweetened cashew milk)
Blend all together, add a straw, and viola you've got yourself a full meal in 5 minutes 🙂🙌🏼💁🏼👑

You have to start dropping your story. It's not that bad or unfair crap hasn't happened to you, or to me. It has. It wasn't fair that your mother was a crappy unloving mother. It's not your fault he lied to you and used you. It's not your fault you have depression. It's not your fault your body is failing and you are sick it's not your fault you were born into poverty. It's not your fault you were abused. It's not your fault that you didn't get the same opportunities as her. This is all true. It's not your fault and it's not my fault. But there comes a point in time that in our hearts and in our minds we have to quit letting the stories run wild and define us. Or even if they continue to define us--- how are we letting them define us?
What I am certain of is every struggle that I have faced in life this far--- has made me stronger. My struggle against recurrent miscarriages has made me love my babies and all children in a way I could not have without that experience. I have a deep gratitude for life and I am thankful for my painful experience.
My fights with depression have shown me how to walk back into my mind and check out what's going on in there and discover that I have a say about who I want to be when that monster of gloom, tears, and self loathing is trying to eat me alive.
My struggle with loving my body has made me curious about what it can do, so now I'm standing on my hands and I realize that my body is a pretty strong vessel.

Since the past couple of days workouts have been iffy because of the baby growing and me not feeling well I’ve decided to ease back into workouts with a nice long walk outside today.

It's Saturday! The family is home, there's a flash sale on the go so I'm working my business here and there.... I've been so sick the last two weeks. Just can't seem to bounce back. I think it was my body saying... STOP traveling!
It felt good to put make up on, shower and have pretty hair that's not pulled back! I think it was the pick me up that I needed.
