I’m so excited to announce that I completed my 6 week challenge at The Camp-Anaheim and lost 18.2 pounds!!!’ I posted my after pictures first and my before pictures second! I’ve always struggled with my weight, back in 2011 I lost 70 pounds, but when I started grad school I gained about 15 of those pounds back. 2016 was not my best year with lots of unsaid and said reasons and I told myself I was going to turn that around and make 2017 great! This year is definitely ending on a high note personally and professionally! Shout out to my family, best friend @brigettearlene, @black_biologist, @b1oleegist, my roommates, labmates for consistency checking up on me, supporting me, and for dealing with my mood swings these past 6 weeks! Well, the good news is that I've lost 3.1 lbs since my last weigh-in two weeks ago. 😎
The bad news is that I didn't achieve my goal of 139lbs. 😣
Today I am weighing in at 141.3 lbs and I feel fucking fantastic. It's been a few years since I've weighed 141 and that means I'm only 2lbs away from being OUT OF THE 140'S! 🎉😵💓 . .
Am I bummed that I have not made any significant weight loss in the past month? YES. Am I going to let it take away from the fact that I am still kicking ass and haven't given up? NOT A DAMN CHANCE. 🙅
I've decided for the next few weeks (and maybe beyond) I will be doing weekly weigh ins instead of biweekly. Biweekly weigh-ins give me a "ahh you'll do better next week...eat the cookie" kind of attitude. 🍪
Next week's goal: 136. Yes, I know 5lbs in a week is a lot. Iss okay. Just trying to push myself out of this plateau. 😘

Feeling FAB-TASTIC. I’m starting to see the lean muscle. Which is something I’ve been working towards. It’s crazy once you stop putting so much thought in being healthy/active. It comes so naturally. FOR REAL, I want to workout and fuel my body properly & not over think my EVERY MOVE!!!! Having an easy meal plan & ONLY 30 min workouts 5-6x a week. It’s like 1 2 3. Seeing the results and doing it as a lifestyle change + not being so DAMN hard on myself! It’s made this journey so much fun. AM I PERFECT? Nahh, I eat my nightly ice cream, and treat myself here and there. Balanced living – 85% clean – 15% fun. #NotPerfectly.Fit
