There aren't many humans that can claim that they've left a substantial mark in music history. Artists that almost out of thin air created a whole new genre or made it take an unexpected turn. Musical pioneers in its truest form. I consider Kraftwerk to be one of those & out of all their magnificent albums, this is one of my favorites. I do prefer the German version "Die Mensch-Machine" because well.. yes, there aren't an abundance of lyrics & the ones that are there are pretty much the same in English as in German but it's always a little different when you hear a track as it was meant to be heard. Some slight nuances get lost in translation. Plus, I like to use the very tiny amount of German I remember from school whenever I can. AAAAAAAAAnyway most of their albums have aged flawlessly & not only that, they pretty much predicted what would happen in the future with their at the time highly futuristic "robot pop". Impressive to say the least. So to sum up: I love Kraftwerk. Do you love Kraftwerk too? 🤖🇩🇪 #kraftwerk#themanmachine

🎶On the 12th day Christmas my true love gave to me: 🎶 Ooooone 12" record. 🎵🎤well... Okay. So for this day's #decembervinylchallenge I've chosen the 12" that accompanied Bon Iver's excellent album from last year. Which one would you have chosen? Probably Blue Monday, right? 😉 I would have too - but I couldn't locate it in the collection today... 😂 #Boniver
Nels Cline-Lovers (Blue Note Records 2016) my friend Nick loooves Wilco! I like Wilco. Nels Cline has been the guitarist for Wilco since 2004. A testament to Nels good taste, he is married to Yuka Honda from Cibo Matto!
This album is a bit of a throwback in mood and execution. Comprised of jazzy chamber orchestra covers and original compositions, this album attempts to set the mood for late nights, after the last house guests have left and there is nothing to do but empty the ash trays, and champagne bottles. For fans of Mancini, Hammerstein, and gently picked guitars.
A moment of LOUDNESS for Pat DiNizio, of The Smithereens, who passed away yesterday. I interviewed Pat years ago about their appearance on MTV Unplugged. He was cool & even called my house looking for me while scheduling the interview, talking to my dad. Then my dad says to me "Some Guy named Pat called and what's a Smithereen?" Rock on Pat, I hope it's loud where you are. #patdinizio#smithereens#thesmithereens
The Raconteurs|Consolers of the Lonely| Their second studio album was nothing short of stellar. Huge guitars everywhere. Jack and Brendan were clearly showing the world who they were influenced by on this one. Rocking through this hump day!
