Sometimes the most intense feelings, most extreme emotions, most incredible experiences, don't fit in captions.💯🙏🏼 I do my best sharing what I can verbalize on social media, but sometimes... a photo just says it all. Thanks for this incredible 📸 @jamesmitchell5#RunningwiththeFeelingofBeingAlive Happy Friday, everyone. 👋🏽
Ready to dive into another pool session. Getting very race specific now with an event coming up next weekend.
It's been a very exhausting week for me and a struggle to get through all of my sessions on top of everything else.
We talk all about how to deal with these challenges on the last episode of @thinkfitpod

(Can you hear The Beach Boys 🏄♂️ sing?!🎤)
Strength training 🏋️♀️ in a different way...
Here’s a pic of yesterday’s workout 💪 at the beach.🏝 Just next to the Santa Monica Pier there is an area with lots of sports equipment, like pull-up bars, parallel bars, an aerial hoop and rings.🤸♀️
Some of those rings are arranged in a line, so you can move along hand over hand. It’s not easy but so much fun!😁

(Hört ihr auch die Beach Boys🏄♂️ singen?! 😁)
Krafttraining 🏋️♀️ mal anders...

That face of relief that is all over. It wasn't a good run but the course and people cheering you on every corner made it all worth it. And that was the time of the day not my finish time 😁🏃🏽♂️🏃🏽♂️ #epixgear#iwearvelocity#3athlonlife#trimafia
Training vs social life balance
After a morning full of training 🏊🏼♀️🚴🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️ this weekend I went over the hill to Martinborough to enjoy some great wine, food and company. Not a bad way to flush the muscles out after a hard training session.
Frazzled hair, beat red face, goggle imprints. Despite how fitness is presented in magazines there’s nothing perfect or pretty about it. It’s usually balls to the walls and laying out everything you’ve got. But guess what? As women we are not required to be “pretty”or ladylike, it’s ok to be YOU in the raw. Gnarly, sweaty hair, tomato face, sweaty pits, let your gnarly flags fly 🏳️ Be YOU, on your terms — It’s not a beauty contest, we have to stop presenting exercise as such in our fitness media. It’s athleticism and athleticism can bring people to their most humble, vulnerable, raw moments. Next time you look in the mirror and your face is purple with heat, mascaras running down your face, soaking wet sweaty hair, give yourself a fist pump 👊🏻 because digging deep and unleashing your physical power is beautiful ❤️
40 min of hill training, 1KM swim, 9 months to Augusta 70.3 Ironman. It’s going to be beautiful.
Huuuuuuge shoutout of appreciation for this guy, my best tri buddy, Gerald @spikegif1. I wouldn’t be into tri without him. He trains with dedication and skill. He shares his knowledge freely and roots for me to improve. He pushes me when I need it and encourages me without fail. I only hope I do an inkling of that for him. Not only is he a dedicated, impressive racer, but he is one of the best swimmers I know. He is a husband, dad, hard worker, student, very knowledgeable, a true friend, yes even the exact definition of a true friend. Thanks, Spikey!
