Some of my TOP TIPS for STUDYING! ✨✨✨ _
1. JUST START! Sometimes you can get so bogged down with stressing and fussing and planning everything that you just end up in a big mess and before you know it... the whole day has gone. Don’t let that happen! Planning is great (as I’ll come on to talk about) but so is actually doing some work! If you’re worried about all the nitty gritty details rather than doing the basics you’re going to find it hardl! Start simple. Remember if you start now there will be time at the end to go over things and go into more details etc etc. Sometimes I fall into this trap (a lot) and then I wonder why I’ve got nothing done! 😭
Tip 2. Repetition is KEY. You’re not going to remember everything the first time you go over it. You have to keep coming back to it and review it. There’s only so much your brain can process in one go, especially if you have lots of topics to cover. Get it done and come back to it later!
Tip #3. VARIETY. I need variety in my life. If I’m working in the same way or in the same place or doing the same things I will get BORED. UNMOTIVATED. TIRED. LAZY. You need to switch things up a bit. Move.Try quizzes. Try mindmaps. Try group work. Try YouTube videos. Try typing instead of writing etc. Options are endless!
4. Plan ahead. Too much planning is bad. But planning is amazingly helpful too! As you can probably tell I do a LOT of it! Plan what you’re going to do for the day/week etc and be REALISTIC about it. You can print out a calendar and plan out what topics to do each day. Otherwise try out a planner or a study timetable. I’m currently finding bullet journaling really help me plan everything together rather than just my studies as it helps you be more realistic. There’s LOADS of ways! Try them out and see what works for you.
5. And finally, Take breaks. I like the schedule of 25 mins of work followed by a 5 minute break. And then repeat. Do I stick to it? Not a lot. But it helps keep a general structure to my study time. And you definitely need those breaks. Clear your mind. Take a walk. Rest your eyes. It makes a huge difference! I’ve ran out of words now so I’ll end it here but you get the gist!
Wearing 3 coats of @essiepolish "absolutely shore", a pretty, light sage green💚 Picked this one up at winners and I adore the colour! I'm trying to buy less polish and not buy similar colours. The price of this was too good... $5(!!!) and I have nothing like it in my collection😊
