a series. // i don’t know how it is for each of you but i tend to have a hard time right after breaks and especially after having to leave two of my favorite places and some of the people that mean the most to me. like these photos i’m kind of at that point. no longer smoothly riding the wave but i think what is so great is knowing the tides change. knowing that those highs of life, such as traveling and going home, as well as reuniting with family and friends, will return and it is up to me to be patient until then because life is like water, constantly flowing. the highs, the lows, the calm. and they all always come back. so maybe i’m no longer in hawaii or back home surround by loved ones, but i’m still going places, even if that means back to school. and maybe you’re like me at a point where you’re just kind of treading water doing what you have to do, but i’m right there with you and we are going to enjoy playing in the water while we wait for the next big event or wave in our life because being present is so important. here’s to 2018 and making the best of all life throws at us. be grateful rain or sun.
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Martin Luther King —
I had a bad day. We all have them. Closing it with a sunset like this made me reflect into the dark that followed me around all day. The light piercing through reminds me to drive the dark out with more light! Spread the love, spread the light!
