Why are you excited for Flashpoint? -
I have to say, I’m not. I think it’s way too early. They’re doing this is to reset this thing they call an ‘extended universe’. But the only reason at this point I’m excited for is seeing @jeffreydeanmorgan kill it as Thomas Wayne and @laurencohan as Martha Wayne. -

“Do you bleed? You will.” -Batman
Arguably “BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE” is the most divisive super hero film ever made. Thank mostly to very controversial decisions made by director Zack Snyder. Specifically about the character of Batman. However this film has been thoroughly misjudged. Here Snyder does something unprecedented and ballsy with these characters. He breaks them down. In this film Batman’s grudge against Superman can be compared to that of American foreign policy after 9/11. Specifically in a line where Bruce Wayne tells Alfred that if they even have the slightest feeling that Superman could turn against them then they must take it as an absolute certainty. Even mirroring 9/11 in the opening scene, Snyder is providing commentary on the feelings of many Americans after that horrific day. Their anger, the want to get whoever did this so bad that sometimes it meant attacking innocent people who happen to share ethnic similarities. One of the main issue brought up by fans was Batman’s killing spree. It’s made very clear that Batman at this time is older, more cynical, and has suffered loss as a result of the rules he once held dear. Snyder has taken this beloved character and broken him, and now is his reckoning. Shot gorgeously, this dark film is not like any film featuring these characters a before. It’s Shakespeare. Audiences clearly weren’t ready for this dark and brooding film about the nature of hurt individuals, and the mistakes that come from lack of foresight and emotional drive of intellectual reasoning. Probably Zack Snyder’s most underrated, and most important film to date.
What a fascinating situation...
I still sympathize with Keaton and
I think many of us do. Especially
if we’ve been bullied ourselves.
I don’t see what his mom potentially
having racist beliefs and behavior
has to do with Keaton getting bullied.
Those are two separate issues.
To me, at least. I’d love get more
perspectives on it tho 😳

This surrounds Anya Taylor-Joy's charcter Magik or as she is referred to as Illyana in the CCXP Footage description
By all accounts, the footage showed the Mutants in a social situation. The teens are trying to impress one another, and they decide to use a lie detector. Most are reluctant to talk about their backgrounds, but Magik is the exception. According to Universo X-men, Illyanna is portrayed "in a totally debauched and arrogant way." Well that may clash with the characters portrayal in the trailer it dovetails perfect with a recent teaser photo.
It seems Illyana breaks an uncomfortable silence, deciding to reveal just how her powers First Manifested. Her account is chilling:
• "My power? I killed 18 men. One by one."
The comment is accompanied by a flashback showing Magik's rampage. She is seen summoning a blue energy blade, which fans immediately recognize as the Soul Sword, as she does so. It seems Magik's body transforms. Her arm begins to be covered with metal. And Universo X-men compares the effects to colossus's transformation in the original X-Men trilogy.
I did not attend CCXP but I did read this on a movie news sight. I am looking forward to the next trailer and can't wait to see Magik's Soul Sword! Also the comment that she made about her killing 18 men is amazing! It reminds me of WW's line in BVS about how she killed things from other worlds.
