1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF CHOOSING BALANCE 🤗🎉🎉 I made (aka asked very nicely 😜) Eli snap this pic of me on our walk this weekend and he laughed at me holding up the ☝🏻sign but I’m just seriously in awe it’s been an entire year with all of you!! I cannot believe exactly a year ago today, on a whim I created this account ❤️ I remember searching different names to see what was taken/wasn’t before finally deciding on Choosing Balance. And man it couldn’t have been more perfect 🤗 I’ve never shared this publicly but I write down my prayers every morning when I wake up. It’s just something I do 🤷🏼♀️ So about a year and a half ago, I wasn’t in the best place with my relationship with food and exercise. I wrote in my prayer journal for God to help me find balance in life because I was just so overwhelmed with it all. I literally tear up thinking about how a few short months later, I started this account on a whim. I know a lot of you may not be religious but no matter what you believe I do think there’s power in reflecting on your struggles. It makes you appreciate how far you’ve truly come ☀️ Over the past year, I’ve learned more about balance than I ever could have imagined 😅 Here’s just a little recap of some things I’ve learned over the past year from YOU GUYS 💫: —————————————————————————1) I learned that counting calories isn’t the only way to be healthy and for me, it’s better for my mental health not to. Every single person is different and you have to find what works for you 💯
2) Eating a certain way doesn’t change who you are as a person. 🙅🏼♀️ Ditto with looking a certain way. Eating carrots doesn’t make you a nice person and eating pizza doesn’t make you a bad one. Food does NOT control who you are at your core 💕
3) Cardio is not the only way to be fit. I learned from this community the importance of strength training, yoga, and rest days 👊🏻 4) Health goes beyond what you eat/ how much you exercise. Mental and emotional health are the key to being healthy and happy 💃🏼
5) Forgive yourself for not being perfect, you’ll be SO much happier 💘
SORRY FOR THE RANT!! I’m just so genuinely thankful for the place I’m in now and I owe it to you guys ❤

Chickpea Spaghetti with Spicy “Creamy” Tomato Sauce with sautéed garlic, mushroom, red pepper, and arugula.
To make, used 2 servings @eatbanza Chickpea Spaghetti. Sautéed the veggies and added in 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes, scoop of Greek yogurt, fresh parsley, and a generous dash of onion powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and red chili flakes. Mix in some olive oil, and you’re all done! Serves 2
Back on my meal prep game! And it feels so good 🙌🏼 roasted lots of veggies and chicken, and experimented with spaghetti squash in the instant pot! Next time it needs to cook longer 😂 it felt good mentally to be back in my kitchen today. THIS is self care for me 💛 what did you guys meal prep for the week? #iChooseToBeWell#mealprep

#toasttuesday and then some🙌I love a good salad but often I’m still hungry after! Adding a carb like a piece of toast and fruit makes for a more filling and balanced lunch 🥗I’ve got kale salad with roasted chickpeas, feta, and avocado dressing, whole wheat toast with avocado mash, and blueberries🥑

Does anyone else use running as a way to relieve emotions?!? (pissed, stressed, upset, all the above) 🙋🏼♀️I DO (that and dance.. duh) and today I did just that! Today’s workout was very much needed. Last week was hard and this week isn’t starting off the best either but you have to stay positive no matter how hard it is. Just know that YOU CAN GET THROUGH IT 👊🏼💓
Of all the hats I wear, coach is one of my favorites. I woke up early this morning to check in with my clients and team, plan my next accountability group, workout with my girls virtually and do a little personal development.
Then I worked my full time marketing job until 7pm. Got home in time to get a quick run in and jumped right into a coaching preview group to share my passion with those who are interested in joining my team. I didn’t eat dinner until 9:30pm and even though it was a hectic day, I’d do it all over again. When you do what you love it doesn’t feel like work. ❤️ I’m curious, what’s your dream job?

This is the hard part. This every day new challenges and balancing the benefits of youth with the stigma of a few thinking I don't know anything. To them I say, "Youre right that I don't know everything. I do, however, know a lot of things, and have much more fire than most anyone, my age or not." // #playingwithedits
HEY YOU! Hi 👋🏼 Soooo I did a thing & decided to address the part of my life that was missing. As a 25 year old, I’ve got it good with a solid career, a great family & awesome friends BUTTTTTT was making excuses after excuses to not work on my physical health. I lacked accountability 🙊 & a tribe to keep me focused. Guess what folks? I found my calling, accountability & re-discovered my passion for mental clarity and physical health 💕. I can’t wait to share my journey with you & reach our goals together. Let’s do this 🙌🏼

I’ve said this is posts before, but abs have never been easy for me to define. I feel solid with my training in other places, but abs and lower back would be my weakness! And that’s ok.
Another note: I love training a small waist. I have wider hips and a smaller waist and I like to emphasize it in my workouts. A new product I’ve been trying is the @sweetsweat gel. I apply it to my midsection before I work out and WHOAH. Four uses down and I see a difference. I’ll continue to share my results for you guys! xx #strongwomen#sweetsweat
#baconsbff because I don’t eat it 😂🥓 I’ve been struggling at balancing multiple accounts but honestly I’ve also been struggling with consistent workouts. I decided to re-up my unlimited #orangetheoryfitness membership to help me get back on track. Saving $60 a month isn’t worth it when my health suffers. When you find a program that works for you, it’s worth the sacrifice. I’ll cut back in other ways but I’m back with #OTF 💪🏻🍊 #sweatforthedress#sweatingforthewedding#375days
Ohhhhh my heart 😍😍 So many good vibes and energy in the gym tonight!
Thank you all for joining us for our first 4 weeks of yoga with @amandasrigley
I am truly so grateful for her and the classes she teaches. We will be taking a break next week while she is on vacation and regular classes will start again on March 6th!
Still don’t really know how to do this whole “posing to show the gains” thing, but I tried 🤷🏼♀️.
I gave absolutely everything I had to my leg workout tonight. Week 7 is no joke let me tell ya. @desb___ kills me every week (in the best way possible) and I’m honestly sad this guide is coming to an end.
Let me share something with you all, legs are my least favorite muscle group to lift because they aren’t that strong yet. But I know the only way to become the strongest version of myself is to work on what I struggle with, and for me that’s my entire lower body. Change and growth don’t come from what’s comfortable.

STRENGTH.... what a powerful word in itself.
For the last 3 days I have felt like I have used all my strength and everything in me to get through a day. :
You see motivation and smiles because it is what helps me cope and get through... but to be brutally honest my brain and body have been on a wicked anxiety bus and I want the [email protected]&k off. :
I had a panic attack on Saturday and it sent my body and mind a vicious spiral downward and I pulled every tool from my personal development tool box I had and I still could not shake it. :
I felt defeated.
I felt weak.
I was mad at me.
All the things that were not tools in my toolbox to help my mindset. :
I have realized over the last 3 days that
I am NOT defeated
I am NOT weak
And I am not going to be mad at me.
This is a process that is going to require all my strength. It is like any journey it will not happen overnight. :
I will have good days, bad days and day all
In between and what I remembered is that it takes a lot of strength but I AM DAMN PROUD OF THAT STRENGTH, COURAGE AND COMMITMENT TO BEAT ANXIETY! :
My health and fitness journey had been a saving grace to me and my mental health.... I am grateful everyday for saying yes and also to be able to share with others! :
I am not a perfect person, things are hard for me, nothing has come easy. My hard work, my goals, my dedication and will to live a happy healthy fulfilling life.... keeps me going! :
If you struggle with anxiety, I would love to chat with you. Know that you are not alone because I know how alone that works can feel at times. 🖤
