Anderson was renting a room on the adjacent hill, tucked away behind a narrow stairwell winding up the face of the mountain. It was a small extravagance so he could entertain his girlfriends away from his wife. He said I was welcome to stay if I needed a place. It had all the basic amenities: a fridge, a mattress, some porn mags and a framed picture of Jesus. I asked if he really wanted God watching, to which he answered bluntly "of course" not really understanding my jab. When we left he told me I should really think about finding a wife; "Marriage makes you a stronger man."
I managed to recharge my old wiko mobile and found all these snaps I thought I'd lost forever. The camera wasn't too shabby for a phone under €80 at the time. As I recall I took this shot while waiting for my mate to finish getting his hair cut and the sky suddenly turned apocalyptic.
STREET FOOD / La Antigua, Sacatapequez, Guatemala / iPhone 6s Plus / ProCamera / Snapseed
Cuaresma, or Lent, has started and the street food vendors are out in force outside the Cathedral.
Follow along, see what I see, as I travel with my iCamera in Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Panama, Guatemala and beyond.
I will be traveling light, moving slow, planning as little as possible. Mostly street photography, but anything else that catches my eye.
