Protect your joints!
Performing single joint exercises for reps of 15+ have been shown to increase the longevity of the non-contractile tissues (ligaments & tendons). These tissues protect several joints. Therefore, it is important to ensure their ability to withstand load and the chaotic movement patterns of sport.
After deadlifts today I tried handstands, pistol squats, box jumps and a bunch of other stuff because I finally have energy to do them now! #fatiguefree#offseasongainz I got so rusty 😭
Swipe for my 2nd & 3rd set of 4x3 225Ib DLs. Still so much to work on. Have a great weekend everyone 💕
Want to build a bigger bench? A stronger position will build you a stronger bench. The first step is developing a tight upper back.
Give this drill a go as part of your warm up and maintain that same tightness when you’re moving the bar!
So most of you don’t know, I have had a knee injury recently, Let me tell you its the worst thing that has ever happened, I can only use my body weight for my workouts now, and I have to start all over to build my weight up again. But Im grateful it wasn’t anything more serious, im slowly getting back to it. Strengthening my knee is going to take a lot of patience but its worth it to be able to workout like I used to, I still enjoy my workouts and my time to myself to become physically and mentally stronger. Stay Motivated Everyone, No Matter The Obstacles That Interfere In Your Life..Push Through. Mind Over Matter.
My arms are definitely my most highly complimented body part. Ironic, because I almost never train arms... But I've always had big arms, even before I started training. So once I started bodybuilding, I had to be careful not to train them too much so they don't overpower my shoulders.
So, here is a video of me demonstrating a superset I really like to do with drop sets.
Barbell curls at 40 lbs x 15, drop to 25 lbs x failure.
Rope triceps pressdown (make sure you really pull the rope apart at the bottom). Whatever plate you can do 15 times, cut the weight in half and fail at that. 💪💪💪💪 Oh, and hello #shoulderstriations 😍😍😍
When the lighting makes you look like you have baby abs but in reality there’s a big layer of fat covering them after all the food that was eaten over the holidays 🍫🍰🍩🍕🍔 thought I was going to die after training legs and squatting my heaviest of 135lbs for 8 😰 getting stronger slowly but surely and increasing the weights 💪🏼
