Cardio today. I seriously HATE cardio. 😳 Like with a passion. Who feels me?! ✋🏻
It took me awhile to find a program that I’d actually do the cardio. Like running wasn’t my thing, sports outside my main sport were so time consuming to set up and the commitment was crazy, and let’s face it who wants to feel like your dying for over an hour???? 😭 NO!!!!!
I ended up getting a @fitbit a few months back. It monitors your cardio level. I was scaled at below average... WHAT?????? Come on! I workout (normally lifting) like 5 days a week and I’m not even average!!!! So me being a crazy competitive person couldn’t be less than average, and actually couldn’t even stand the thought of only being “average”. - side note: Seriously Fitbit, great wording choice to get people motivated (it worked for me). Anyways, I ran for awhile and went down and played handball, but I fell into this slump that I knew I couldn’t keep up. Long story short- I found my cardio!!!!!! I still felt like dying today, but I laughed through it (I promise I truly laughed out loud with what little air I had), and I felt so good about myself after I was done. Not after that long of doing these workouts I’m already above average on my cardio level! Such an accomplishment for me! Yay!!!!

Why I workout???? Not just because I’m supposed to take care of my body, not just because I wanna live as long as I can, not just because I don’t want my strength to keep me from doing things (like physical activity with friends or lifting a refrigerator into the back of a pickup), nor just for the confidence of my body, nor to be an influence on my friends and family to live healthy lives, and not just because of race car... but for it all! It takes a lot of dedication and will power, but why not when you have all of that👆🏻 to gain? Message me if you need this change! ❤️ @miannawickfitness
