Gut Check: Logging in some miles now that I’m back home after a long vacation. I’ve been inconsistent with my runs and my food; that’s taken a toll. The first step is admitting, now its time to get to work.

Miles don’t seem quite as long w friends by your side!
I love Saturday mornings w my crew. 10 easy paced miles on yet another frigid morning. I don’t even mind getting up dark and early because I always look forward to running w this group. They are the best and B always brings the comedy (sometimes unintentionally 😆). Now: donuts, coffee and cheer!
Absolutely thrilled to be representing @skechersperformance for another year. So thankful they continue to support athletes and build up our sport. Looking forward to do more training and racing in their gear and shoes. Wonderful company and people running it. #Blessed#HalfMarathon on Deck - Consistency and Progression coming up!
Phew, it’s been a frigidly cold Winter. Far more cold than last year. Vicki and I debated, last night and for 30 mins this morning, treadmill vs outside. It was -2* w a windchill of -18*. Most schools called off because it is so cold 😳 We were also nervous because nearly all of the sidewalks remain covered in snow and ice. So, we would be relegated to the street. Ultimately (and obviously 😜) we settled on bundling up and hitting the neighborhood pavement. Yes, we did acknowledge our questionable sanity. It took me a good 15 mins to properly bundle 😆 Good news: we survived and no frostbite! I discovered I do NOT like running w the balaclava. I felt claustrophobic w my mouth covered ✋🏼 Unfortunately, no stats or data because the cold killed both of our Garmins. It was about 10 miles at a very easy pace. I have one sick kid at home, my other 2 at school (ours were like the only schools NOT to call off) a full day ahead of me and cheer tonight. Can’t wait to snuggle w my electric blanket today ☺️ Stay warm, friends!
