"Dreams don't work - unless you do."
8 miles and the first track workout I've done since the fall!
Can't pin down my splits but WO looked like this...
400m×1 +400m recovery, 200mx4 w/400m recovery between each,
400mx1 +400m recovery
Abt 3.5mi down
It felt SOOO good to get those lungs burning! It's been forever since I got some good sprints in and I LOOOVED it!! Ooh, and I got to break in my new Brooks tonight!! Ordered some @caterpylaces to go along with then and can't wait to get my favorite laces on them!!
Have a great nights peeps!!💚

I had to use some fisiocrem both pre and post run this morning, my quads were still pretty tender from my osteo treatment yesterday. I have been running with soreness in my quads for the past few weeks and yesterday Geoff really got into them - it was the first time in a very long time that I had to ask him to stop because I couldn’t bear the pain. With another easy recovery run this afternoon they should start to freshen up again.

It’s a simple yet powerful truth ⚡️Injury free running allows for consistent training which potentiates improved performance . I believe that enjoying injury-free & faster running requires attention to 5 steps:
1. Understanding your running body
2. Running with great technique
3. Navigating the footwear maze
4. optimising hip strength
5. The power of rest

Finally finishing a morning run in a tiny little bit of light and dimly lit trails. Looking forward to the lighter mornings for #marathon training. Winter running is ok, but the dark mornings make 5am starts so much harder. 14 done this morning, ticking over and getting the base miles in.

Floating through the air on my way to a new PR! •
Before I went to bed on Saturday night, I wrote down this quote on a piece of paper:
"You've got to take a shot. You have to live at the edge of your capabilities." I taped it to my mirror. It's the last thing I saw before I went to bed and the first thing I saw when I woke up on Sunday morning. And it's the exact mindset that burned within me throughout the duration of the Houston marathon. Take a shot! Live at the edge! And your bound to be successful! 2:35 is nice, but sub 2:30, I'm coming for ya!🏁🏆
