Three mile Thursday. Last run before 3M half marathon this Sunday, that we just signed up for 😳 Was planning on a run earlier this week but the city basically shut down because of our crazy weather. The boys and I baked all the cookies, pizzas and watched all the Netflix. Enjoyed our time but was definitely thankful for some warmer temps today and ready to get out of the house. These stroller miles are always a challenge but we enjoyed our time outside. #strollerrunning#strengthtraining#alwayssuchachallenge#lastminuteracer#3mhalfmarathon

We got about 8 inches of snow so I’ve been cooped up in the house since Tuesday night. I’ll admit it’s kinda pretty, but I much prefer warmer weather and sunshine ☀️
The majority of the run squad, myself included, decided it was just too damn cold at 4:30 this morning to run outside😨 So thanks to the world's greatest husband and some last minute schedule changing, I was able to go run after sunrise when it had "warmed up" to 26°! And the best part of the run were the miles I got to share with Jen (of @triplebraided), who is one bad A mother runner and a proud honor of a new half PR from this weekend👏 Love ya girl! Now it's a super warm shower and back to work. Happy Thursday IG😁
Oh and thank you for all the comments and messages on what to wear! I couldn't feel my face for a few miles but other than that it worked out well!
I ❤️ stroller running. I ❤️ running as fast as I can up hills. I ❤️ getting to run in a sports bra in January. 6.5 Miles with lots of uphill // 8:12 pace and maybe a slight tan? 🙈🙈
Heyyy there! 👋🏼 Just popping in for a couple quick things. 😊 First, a sincere thank you to those of you who shared your tips and tricks for beating the January/winter blues with me on my post from Monday. If you can relate to struggling with going dayzzzz without seeing the sun (Day 7 here 🙋🏼♀️😩), go back and read through the comments for some good advice. 👌🏼 Second, see that right hamstring up there? 👆🏼 We aren’t exactly getting along this week. 🙄 It’s nothing major, but I’m being extra cautious about babying and rehabbing it until I push it through another speed workout. It’s always sooo hard mentally to have to skip those miles staring back at you from the training schedule. It’s deep in my DNA to want to check off those boxes each day! ✅🙅🏼♀️😂 BUT, I know the long-term ROI of trusting my (and my coach’s! ❤️) instincts and respecting my body when it needs extra TLC. So instead of hammering out intense 10 milers before work, I’ll gratefully walk or jog for 30 minutes, stretch, roll out, ice, and take it day by day until it feels right to get back at it! 🏃🏼♀️💕 Oh, and third...I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up, but I saw a little ☀️ icon in the Sacramento forecast this weekend. ☃️👙😍 #realrunning#trusttheprocess#listentoyourbody#wintertraining

Play time is over and it’s time to get to work! Houston showed me where I’m at and I’m pretty pleased. 12 weeks of no running and 7 weeks of rebuilding and now I’m ready to get serious. Sometimes I’m scared to lay my goals out there because I’m afraid of failure, but I’m Chasing that #BostonQualifier ! I’ve honestly never felt stronger than I do now, and I’m only just beginning! In the past I just never took strength training, nutrition or training very serious, but I know what it’s going to take to get there and I’m ready! Hope on...journey on! #ColtStrong#marathontraining#thathairtho#houmarathon#houhalf#chevronhoustonmarathon
I really didn’t feel like running today! 🙈 I went to yoga at 6:30 am then came home and cuddled with the pups 🐶 for a bit. I wanted to go back to sleep but didn’t want to have to run late tonight after getting out of work at 8 more 😂 so I dragged myself to the gym. As always, I’m glad I did it!
Workout was 3 miles w/u, then hill repeats 😐 took me to about mile 7, then c/d to reach 9 miles 🏃🏻♀️ Think my watch had me a bit slower 🤷🏻♀️ but I didn’t save what was on the treadmill, so it’s fine!
~welcome to my ig dedicated to all things running!~ I was inspired to document my own journey through following others! i plan to post my runs, workouts, what i eat, tips, and favorite recipes!!! 4 shakeout miles and arms at the gym after some speed work and legs yesterday🏃🏼♀️💪🏻
Easy five miles tonight. 52 degree weather, so I had to pull out my favorite pair of @oiselle rogas! Long run is set for tomorrow since it looks like it might snow on Sunday! I hope you enjoy the dog and cat photo bombs! 🙈

4.06 miles - This run was everything. After timing myself and realizing my mile time is faster than what I'm training at the gym, it was time I kick it up a notch. So glad I did! My knee handled it well. I'm so thankful it only required a couple of weeks of rest. Hoping it continues to be alright. #fitbitblaze#fitbit#running#runnersofinstagram
Stats from my workout this afternoon.
I woke up with a lot of head congestion today and some stiffness from falling asleep on the couch watching TV last night 📺😴 I was hoping to power through it, but it definitely did have an impact on my performance. I had scheduled 3.2 miles today, and I managed to run 2, walk for a quarter mile, then run the last 1.2. Admittedly I was a little disappointed/frustrated, but then I remembered I first wanted to walk at 1 mile, so I doubled what I initially thought I was capable of. I'll call that a victory 🥇 and cut myself a little slack
What lasts longer than a marathon or a half marathon? Great professional race photo memories. 📸🏃🏻♀️😎💙
🗣 It’s Rest Day but tomorrow is back to the long grind. 6 weeks until the BIG RACE! …I’m not nervous. 👉🏼😬😟😥😰😳🤯
Happy Friday y’all! #finishermedal#fridaymood 💘
ON SATURDAYS WE RUN // • And run I did! 🏃🏼♀️
22km @ 5:31/km (193m elevation gain) in the bag this morning that included the following fun:
👟4km from home to Gardiners Creek ..
👟9km pre-Park Run with @running_benny ..
👟5km Park Run celebrating Gardiner Creeks launch 🎉..
👟4km slow trot home ..
I love how @parkrunau brings everyone together! Well done to @running_benny on completing his 1st ever park run today, so great to to meet IG friend @dnlsklly_ for the first time, and as always, pleasure running with @epicmaac and his offsider Lucy 🐶 ..
Have a great weekend everyone!! ☀️💛
This picture pretty much captures my run today. I misread my training plan and thought I had seven easy miles. Before heading out I realized it was tempo. 😳I don’t like surprises unless you surprise me with champagne or beer. So, the dingdong head Hailey 🐶 and I headed out. She was bugging the shit out of me so I dropped her off after 3 1/2 miles. I continued on and was finally able to dial in my pace and reel it in. Struggle bus! That’s OK I cannot expect speed to come easily after a huge break in running. But no bad runs- no bad days. Just annoying pups and carrying my xmas weight on a run can be challenging!

Friday feels: flight mode through the forest!! 💚
Sometimes I hate on shiftwork a little as it leaves me with a seriously messed up sleep cycle and running sleep deprived is not so fun. Also, it’s impossible to have a regular training routine! Buuuut.... it means I get 4 days off in a row minimum and can spend week days like today out running in this lush green goodness when the majority of the world is still stuck indoors at work!
