That’s serious shit when you really think about it. You can either work for yourself and do what you want OR you can help someone else get rich by working for their dream. What theeeee 🤔 As someone who never knew what they wanted to do, I spent countless hours helping to build someone else’s dream. Yeah sure let me wash the dishes, serve the guests, pour the beer, clean the entire restaurant.. this is great at $2.63/hr! No wonder why I was always anxious and dissatisfied with life. Whatever money I did make ended up being spent on things to distract me from life: beer, food, trips that I could barely afford, objects I didn’t need, etc.
Today I work on building my own dreams. For me, and for my family. There are so many things they deserve to experience and I WILL be able to provide for them. One bucket list item? Travel the country in an RV. Have you seen @happy.loud.life ? Goals right there 🙌 And guess what, I’m going to make that happen. No, not overnight ((real work doesn’t happen magically)). Gym days. I have 4 😮 of them each week. I completely dislike the gym and working out around other people. But with each session I feel myself becoming more confident in my strength inside & out.
Did you know I was afraid of starting as an online health coach too? Posting on social media about my life made me want to barf 🤢 ((still does some days)). I felt like I had no right to be doing this stuff without a degree, without being in great shape, and without being a “salesperson.” Turns out you don’t need any of that. Every day I showed up, I gained a bit more confidence. It’s not always easy - but I always remind myself that living how I USED to ((filled with anxiety, eating like crap, always exhausted and weak)) is way more difficult than what I do for work now.

Running with the boys!
Solid meet yesterday with two indoor PR’s in the 60m and 200m and a 1.5 second season improvement in the 800m. Still got some work to do before I beat my all-time 800m PR but that’s okay! COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF JOY. Even comparison to yourself! Setbacks hit everyone and sometime we have to start over and build our way back up. During these times, stop worrying about getting back to where you “used to be” and instead focusing on being your best self every single day. Allow yourself to feel joy even the smallest of victories, and be grateful for what you CAN do. I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to race yesterday! After being out for six weeks from injury last spring I’m not taking anything for granted. Anyone else reach for carbs when they don’t feel great? 🙋♀️ My headache was making me nauseous and so I reached for a bagel instead of something “healthy.” No regrets. I feel better (after taking medicine & drinking lots of water too).. and I know this day isn’t going to ruin the progress I’ve made or my future results. Ran all the way through.. no stopping...
Chopped a few seconds out of my time... #Ran it under 11 mins... About 4mph.. slow ino... But I'll get faster.... I'm new to this #running thing... Need to double up a few weeks also... Have you started running yet??
I started by #running down to the corner... (About 100ft) that was literally the farthest i could #run without stopping.... I got it up to 2 corners and then the block and now #1mile without stopping... So ino if i can do it, you can do it!!
