Excited for the @nyrr Fred Lebow Manhattan Half Marathon in Central Park this weekend! It’s going to be a bit of a disaster for me because my mileage has been down and a nasty chest cold has completely halted my running for a week. The goal for this one: finish. 😂

On this week’s episode of “the basic Bs of Brooklyn” - two sick runners take their first yoga class in over a year. One starts snoring during meditation and the other can’t stop laughing at him. | I love how impossible the body is to master. It’s like “cool, you can run 26.2 miles.. but can you touch your black toes?” 😹😹 #committosomething#getouttorun#nyrr

Yay! I’m officially over the crutch life! Remember when I was crying half way through the NYC marathon in Nov? Well it was for good reason! I found out that I have a pretty bad stress fracture at the top of my shin bone and have been on crutches this past month — which is rough in the city with all the stairs (but I’m got really quick at it). My ortho just gave me the OK to start doing physical therapy!! A little sad I can’t run the NYC Half in March that I FINALLY got into after 3 years, but I need to be smart about it and recover the right way. I’m excited to get back to working out and eventually running, and I’m coming back stronger than ever!! 💪🏼

Today was the big day at @chevronhoustonmarathon , we had an amazing weather can't complain about that, I did get a new PR but I couldn't really hit the time I wanted, my legs were giving up on me on mile 17 I was so close of just dropping out the race but I had to put my mind to it and just run with my heart, the course had a few challenging hills that tired me out quick, but I feel good about myself for this marathon being my first time running it not knowing what was ahead of me other than that the race was fun, now I know the challenges that are in this course and I know what needs to be improve so there will be a next time and I know I will achieve my goal time one day, there's a lot of training to do. I hope everybody who ranned the marathon achieve a new PR and did awesome, now is time recover and rest very well before starting to run again.” | Follow him for more.
