ALERT...I donated 75% of my clothing in my latest video!!! 🤗 5 DAYS OF A CAPSULE WARDROBE is live on @refinery29’s YouTube channel now (link in bio!!!) 🧣👕👡 If you haven’t heard of a “capsule wardrobe” - it’s a way of simplifying your wardrobe by clearing out items you don’t need, and narrowing it down to a selection of staple items that you can mix and match into a whole variety of outfits! Why would you do this? >> to save time in the morning ⏰, to become more minimalistic🌙, to be a more sustainable shopper 🌎, and so much more. Check out the video for more info & comment below letting me know if you’d ever try this 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 // boots: @officialtarynrose#trylivingwithlucie
day 10: who is your favorite teacher/professor and why?
// mr. dennert was my ap world history teacher and was my absolute favorite. it was my first ap class so I was very nervous and often melting under the pressure of taking a significantly more difficult course. I wasn’t always performing at my best especially on my essay questions. I would get 6s and 7s but would notice that mr. dennert would leave comments on my essays more than anyone else’s. comments like “you can do way better than this” etc. he believed in me and I started pushing myself to do well and ended up with an A in the class and with a 5 on the exam. he was one of the first people to show me that I could do anything I set my mind to despite any setbacks I faced. he was interesting too. he went viral on the internet after he’d taken his yearbook pic wearing a stormtrooper helmet. another year he posed with a tiny stuffed unicorn on his shoulder. he brought chuck testa (ojai valley taxidermy) to our school and would even put posters of hindi movies (I’m a huge fan) up on powerpoints like mangal pandey for the sepoy mutiny, lagaan for the colonization of india and asoka for the maurya dynasty. he’ll go down as my favorite teacher of all time and I’ll never forget him
Excited to reveal the finished product of a personal credenza build I did for my family. I spent about $200 in materials for this one and love how the design came out. A wonderful collaboration with my muse @swellonwheels 👍🏻

Went to a wedding this weekend and would normally have 1) felt the need to go out and buy something new or 2) hopefully been smart and worn a dress I already owned (I own a couple that are nice enough for weddings!). But since I'm 7 months pregnant, I needed a maternity dress. I went shopping and either hated everything I put on or the dresses were super expensive! After seeing someone post about a maternity outfit on social group I'm in, I decided to try my luck on pieces that could work for pregnancy AND after, a crop top and then a long flowing maxi skirt. While I initially felt a little "lumpy" in it (my pregnant body is one I struggle to embrace!), it ended up being pretty nice. And since I had amazon gift cards, I literally paid $.25 for it out of pocket. Twenty-five cents! It's those smart, smaller choices that help accomplish the larger financial goals we've set 💪🏻
Do you know about Dare to Declutter! my free, private Facebook group? It's an awesome community of folks supporting one another as we get rid of the excess. This winter I am doing a challenge with a different decluttering focus each week. Get in on the fun by clicking the link in my profile!

Starting something new is not all butterflies & rainbows. In fact, sometimes you don’t see a single butterfly OR rainbow for miles & miles. Just stick with it. Go after what you want & don’t let your own brain talk you out of it.
