One of my favorite oiling videos I’ve ever done. This walnut is gorgeous. I love how this is turning out! Also, I ran out of gloves. Don’t judge! #mullenwoodworks
I'm slowly relearning not only skills of humanity's past, but also of my own past. Yesterday I heated up an old soldering iron in the woodstove to solder the sink for the cabin. I haven't soldered or made anything from this material in many years so it took me awhile to get the hang of it. Watch the full video of me making a sink this Friday. #soldering#forge#copper#sink#diy
Cultivating our own version of Spring with COLOR because it’s been snowing off & on in Minneapolis all week. 😑 I love the cheer & light ✨ this @jojibags Guatemalan textile brings in here. It’s handwoven by a small group of Mayan women using traditional methods that take months to complete. .
I couldn’t help but be inspired by the positive social change @jojibags is making through their artisan partnerships. You’ve got to check them out, you guys. I think you’ll not only love their pieces, but also their commitment to supporting women makers around the world! 💪 #handmademosernhome

Since I have red hair and one blue, one green eye... lately I’ve been giving those attributes to my characters too. It’s especially prominent in this new painting 💙💚 Here, I’m also using a little black, water-soluble pencil to add extra depth to her features.
The thrift-store to Madame Pompadour shoe transformation about 80% done! I finally got the epoxy clay only to find there wasn’t nearly enough of it. So, I ended up not recovering them. I’m thinking about sanding them and spray painting them and just trying again on the next pair. I still need to attach the seam binding to the interior of the shoe, glue down the toes, and reattach the soles - and put on the bows! I like the gold buckle better, what do you think?

There's no way I could leave for the weekend without seeing a dry fit of the table top on the base. All that's left is to trim the breadboard ends and add the slats for the bottom shelf. Then on to finishing. The top will stay natural color, but we are deciding on the base color still. Light, dark or something else? What's your thoughts?

🌿Linen is a lovely fabric made from natural flax plant fibers using a very old process called retting to help produce the highest quality of fabric. Even with modern day machines to help out, linen still requires more handwork than other textiles like rayon & cotton. 🌱 #themoreyouknow 🌈
I have been packing up my family in PA to make our move to NJ for a little over a month now. Nothing is fast (or easy) with a 1, 3, and 5 year old (my odd squad). At the end of a day of packing, painting, decluttering and parenting something always hurts! My "ouch" blend has been my go-to. It includes marjoram, Frank, lemongrass and copaiba. It really does help me throughout the day and right before bed. I wake up ready to start a new day! Marjoram is free today with #doterra#bogo! Let us know if you need help getting started! You can also find this ouch blend in our Etsy shop!
