I've been quiet these past few months, and so much has changed since my last post. We finalized our French residency, found a home, purchased furniture, unpacked our bags for the first time in 3 years, and I NESTED…. like, ya know, the thing pregnant women are supposed to do. While we will never stop exploring, we are nomadic no more. We’ve found comfort and balance. Three years ago, we left the US with a vision, but no freaking clue what the future would bring. I left the only home I’d ever known and a job that was sucking the life out of me… all to develop a business that would support what seemed to be a pipe dream. I ended up a knocked-up nomad, pregnant in 12 countries, and now with a beautiful daughter who has lived all over the world. After I put my little Delilah to bed last night, I had a glass of wine on the balcony of our 5th floor walkup in the Marais, and I reflected on the beautiful moment Bryan and I have worked so hard for. Holy shit… we are living my pipe dream. I wish I could go back and have a quick chat with 25 year old Andrea. I was working 80-90 hours every week, close to tears at the end of each day. I would tell my 25 year old self to press on, because it’s not just going to be ok… it’s going to be fucking awesome. Today is the start of a whole new, exciting chapter. Once again, I’m a bit outside of my comfort zone. Whenever I take a leap away from the familiar, there is a period of chaos. There are stressful moments when I think of turning back and taking the easy road home. This familiar chaos has led to many different chapters in my life. Most recently, I was a digital nomad backpacking around the world with the love of my life… and NOW? I’m a Paris wife and mother. I’m the owner of a luxury travel agency. I’m a blogger with a new direction. I write about Parisian luxury – drinking, dining, pampering, shopping. I write from my point of view – an American mom living in the city of lights. I still write about travel, of course. If you’ve been following us, you know that travel is my passion, but for now (for at least a little while) I’m getting to know my new home. The Best World Yet just got better. #ParisWife#ParisMom#ParisianLuxury
#tbt to the last meal in Paris. Gnocchi, and a Mac and cheese half way between generic, and 'gastronomy': multiple cheeses melted down by fat content, British cheddar as a counter point of sharpness, and creme fraiché for opulence. *Starch used as a thickener. Topped with Capocollo.
Choux à la crème, anyone? 🇫🇷🍴❤ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
