I over-hyped this treadmill workout in my head ALL WEEK. I thought it would be hard. Too hard. I expected to fail. I knew that visualizing failure was not exactly the best idea, but I just couldn’t help it. I even had the whole Instagram caption planned out in my head— sometimes you can only be human, try your best and that’s all that matters, yadda yadda yadda. So I got on that treadmill and resigned myself to just try my best— and my best surprised me! It wasn’t exactly a walk in the park (pun intended) but it wasn’t impossible, either. In short: nailed it! 💪🏼

2013-2018 || Just a little 5 year transformation pic. I can’t even begin to explain how much my love and passion for running/fitness has evolved over these past 5 years. The true passion I have for this sport only continues to grow more & more each and everyday. I can truly say I’m the happiest/ healthiest I’ve ever been and only hope to continue to progress physically and mentally towards my goals. 2018 is the year and I’m way too excited, however super motivated and eager AF to start competing in races again. Having huge goals/ races lined up for this year, I’ve never been hungrier and more focused. Once you focus on yourself and find what makes you happy, everything will start to fall in to place. The best project you’ll ever work on is YOU. Trust the process and believe in yourself. We are each capable of accomplishing everything and anything you put your mind to. You’d be surprised what your really capable of achieving and how far one can actually push themselves. |🚴♀️35 mile indoor ride| Today’s indoor ride was lots of sprint and Olympic distance paces with little recovery while entertaining myself with Ellen’s new game show. It’s a good laugh which you’re stuck indoors riding for a long time. I cannot wait to get back outside again! 🌧 #RainGoAway 🙌🏻
THE WORM. This thing is brutal. Sub'd for some teammates competing in the Great Lakes Games. They have to do 30 UNBROKEN thrusters and then a crazy amount of push presses and cleans... Throw back to last years 70.3 in Campeche México. Awesome race venue, well organized for being an inaugural race. Less than 4 months til Monterrey 70.3. First run since knee surgery last month only 1.5 miles but man it feels great to run pain free. Got a lot of catching up but love the challenge. 1.7km ocean swim at 1.44/100m 👊🏻 and 9.5km hill run at 5.49km/hr training is done my feet are dead and I am ready to 💤💤💤 So I went to sleep at 11pm, woke up at 2am ate left over pizza at 4am to train at 7am to go to sleep at 11am to be up at 6pm for night shift ✌🏻️
CHALLENGES ~ Heading out tomorrow on my longest bike ride to date. It looks set to be a bit of a scorcher, so packing all the essentials in hydration, nutrition, sun protection and equipment ☀️
