With no restrictions, no counting calories, no cutting out food groups, my progress is the result of good ol' fashioned exercise and eating wholesome, nutritious foods 😊. Not everything has to be super complicated. You don’t have to follow the latest fitness program or the advice of every single fitspo out there to get results either. Just find something that you enjoy and that you can maintain with a balanced approach. Before starting @kayla_Itsines BBG program two years ago, I had never in my life stuck to anything health and fitness related past three months, but I found it works for me and I love it. I'm not saying I've been able to stick to it perfectly either. I still have very relaxed days, where I eat what I want, skip the gym (like this morning 😅 - I couldn’t bring myself to get out of bed). But perfection isn't needed to see progress and thanks goodness for that, right?! Creating a balanced, realistic routine that you can maintain AND that you enjoy is what you should be working towards. A combination of BBG and F45 work for me. So my seven year old son came home today and said, "Momma, I know how babies are made." Oh great, I thought. I'm so not ready for this talk. Before I could open my mouth, he blurts out, "Babies are made every time people kiss. I heard it at lunch. See ya!" And off he went to play. 😳 I'm still not sure what to say to him but I do know this coconut chicken noodle soup was really good. Make it➡➡ sauté a cup each of thinly sliced bell pepper and white onion in a 2 tbs of avocado oil. When softened, add one can of coconut milk and 6 cups of chicken stock (homemade if ya got it). When it's at a simmer, add two cups of shredded chicken, a cup of snap peas, 1 heaping tbs of sriracha and about 5 oz of rice noodles. Cook until the noodles are done then squeeze in some lime juice. Add some cilantro and chili slices on top.

In a breakthrough study, scientists found evidence that using tea for Alzheimer’s could drastically lower your risk of developing the condition. The tea for Alzheimer’s study followed more than 950 adults aged 55 years or older and studied their tea drinking habits from 2003 to 2005. Then, from 2006 to 2010, researchers followed up with the men and women and assessed their cognitive function, using the same standards each time. The results? Those people who regularly drank tea reduced their risk of neurocognitive disorders by 50%. And, even more impressively, tea’s protective benefits were particularly effective for people genetically predisposed to Alzheimer’s — this group reduced their risk of cognitive impairment by as much as 86%! These numbers are truly staggering because you rarely see that kind of impact with most things. According to the researchers, the type of tea for Alzheimer’s risk reduction doesn’t matter either, as long as it’s brewed from tea leaves and drank consistently.
Y’all I’m feeling good today! I even got in a low impact workout from home 🧘🏼♀️. The only thing that still doesn’t sound good is veggies. I’m not going to lie, I haven’t had a veggie since Saturday 😳. I do know this shake has all the vitamins and minerals I need to fit in my daily nutrients though! Which is why I continue to drink it and invest in it. I’m not going to say it’s going to make me skinny or fit, but it does help fill the gaps in my nutrition to help me reach my goals, and I will stand by that. It’s worked for me the past 1.5 years 💁🏼♀️. And this is coming from someone who never read labels at GNC and took the easy way out on whatever was cheapest and/or whatever they said would help me lose weight. Do your research, read labels, and fuel your body with clean nutrients!

It’s beginning to smell a lot like Christmas! These three are my favorite nostalgic scents for this time of year whether I mix them all up in my diffuser or just one at a time! Synthetic candles are filled with a bunch of chemicals and toxins so I ditched those long before I found oil’s (the candles always gave me a headache and made me sneeze anyways) but I always missed being able to recreate the smells of the holidays. I was so glad to get these three and be able to have that reminder of the holidays anytime. I may even break these out well after the holidays too because I love them that much 😂
