Tried to make tempeh today but I'm not a fan of how it turned out ☹️ How do you guys like to eat/cook your tempeh? The rest of the bowl was delish tho ☺️ We visited the Albertina Art Museum today and had a watercolour workshop after which was fun! In my bowl 👉sautéed tempeh + mushrooms, roasted zucchini + sweet potato + butternut squash, avocado, radish, feta, salad greens
Can't go a few days without making caramelised bananas because it's just THAT good ☺️ The weather is noticeably getting colder so this warmed me right up! In my bowl 👉oats cooked in almond milk + cinnamon, topped with banana sautéed in ghee + blackberries + ginger granola from borough market + peanut butter + cacao nibs + chia seeds

Life can be wonderful -- full of absolute joy and laughter. There are some seasons of life that feel too good to be true, but as with anything in life, things ebb and flow. Naturally, we all have some "down" days, and aside from that natural occurrence, we all go through some rough patches in our lives. There are some bumps in the road, inevitably, and we need to be kind to ourselves in those instances.
Many times, we feel like we have to keep our head held high and forcibly keep smiling -- does that work for you? Perhaps it does. Maybe forcing happiness turns into real happiness, sometimes that can absolutely happen.
But, if that's not the case, I have to tell you this.
If nobody has told you lately, I want you to give yourself complete permission to feel whatever feelings you're sorting through. It's not bad or wrong to explore the darker, more sad feelings -- it just gets troublesome when we get stuck there.
So give yourself the space and permission to sift through your feelings, sort them out, and hang them up to dry.

Well.. It's time to eat again!!! I am out running around today with an Orthodontist appointment, groceries, etc... I am so happy I have a shake I can just dump into a cup with a bottle of water and I am good to go!!❤ Next errand is groceries and they say not to shop while your hungry. So it's time to drink up! 😉

I like to remind myself of this when I’m preparing a dish. Even when I'm tired, I try not to make the dish begrudgingly and unhappily (even if I don't feel like making it), but rather choose to do it out of love for myself and my family. Same goes for products, I look to the makers of the products and see what kind of people they are. (And that's why I'm so choosy about brands...) So thank you to all the makers of products who genuinely care about the well-being of their customers. 💫

Have you ever looked at someone who never seems to drink Water 💧 and think, "How are you even alive right now?!?!" This thought crosses my mind ALL the time
Now even though everyone knows that they should be drinking water, not everyone realizes the IMPORTANCE of drinking water, and so here we are today ⤵
💧Your brain tissue is made up of over 75% water, and drinking enough water allows your brain to think faster, be more focused, and overall perform many bodily functions. When the body is dehydrated, the brain tissue loses water AND the brain actually shrinks temporarily. This in turn triggers pain receptors surrounding your brain thus creating headaches/migraines. So if you're ever having a headache put the pain medicine down and drink a glass of water...that just might do the trick! ☺
💧Thirst can sometimes be confused with hunger, so then you eat more, AND you gain excess weight....we definitely don't want that
💧The body is made up of 50-75% water, and just a 5% drop in your body's fluid levels can lead to a 25-30% drop in energy levels
So after reading through all of this you may be wondering how much water you should drink. A good way to remember is dividing your weight in half. For example, if you weigh 150lbs you should AT LEAST be drinking 75oz of water a day. Keep in mind that if you are exercising, drinking enough water is also very important and necessary ☺
