I do, however, want to highlight the fact that if you've been eating healthy and not losing weight, you might want to track your intake for a few weeks. You could start by writing down what+how much you eat in a notebook.⠀
🍎Will fruit make me fat? Nope, it will not.⠀
Eating too much (more than you burn) will increase your weight, no matter from which source.⠀
If you want to eat as much food as possible while being in a deficit, fruit is great to add to your daily food intake!⠀

"I will just have a salad"⠀
SALADS, SMOOTHIES, GRANOLA BARS, VEGETABLE CRISPS. All the epitome of healthy living, right? So many things these days are marketed as the "better" option, the option to choose for "healthy people".⠀
Often, choosing the Salad, or Smoothie can be healthier in many regards. It's just also great to be mindful that sometimes, the Salad or the Smoothie option may have sneaky added ingredients or in this case, be MORE in calories and higher in fat.⠀
At the end of the day, to lose weight or gain weight, your body needs a calorie deficit or surplus, so along with making the "HEALTHIER CHOICES", being mindful of calories & macros could really help too.⠀
This post in no regards recommends 3 or even 1 Burger King 🍔as part of a healthy lifestyle. This post is highlighting that the salad may not be as "HEALTHY" as you (we all) thought or were led to believe by amazing million dollar marketing budgets👌🏼⠀

night owl 🦉vs. early bird 🐥
Call me out, but - one of my favorite things to do is waking up early every single morning (weekends included). I’ve become a bit of an early bird since I noticed how much more I get done during the day. 💡
I either get smaller chores out of the way first or I put some time and effort into my hobbies and the things I’m actually interested in. 💯
In winter times that obviously works best with a hot drink alongside.. I prefer tea btw. ☕️😄
Are you more of a night owl or an early bird? 🐣
I encourage you to try waking up earlier tomorrow since there are plenty of advantages to benefit from. 🙌🏼
From yesterday’s leg day! Before the workout I did the glute activation circuit that I posted yesterday! I’ve incorporated pause squats and sumos to help build my strength for both of those lifts. You could always just do them the regular way if you want, but pause sumos light my 🍑 on 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The throw-it-all-in basil pesto 🌱
Seriously, this was 1 bunch of basil, a few kale leaves, half a zucchini, a few cauliflower florets, garlic, nutritional yeast (or Parmesan), dry-roasted cashews & salt. Oh, and @cobramestate EVOO, lots of it!
By adding raw vegetables like broccoli to your pesto you get more pesto in your bowl 👍🏼, more fibre for your bowel 💩and more micronutrients for your body 💪🏼 Win, win!
The progression of my evening 🙈 Top left is before my workout and top right is after my workout! I had a great DAY 1 of 80 Day Obsession....and by great I secretly mean super duper sweaty!! I didn’t expect it to be so hard but I still loved every minute because I could feel myself getting stronger! .
The bottom left is my signed contract to stick to the 80 days of workouts and to pursue some personal development through books and podcasts. There is normally a time nutrition plan to this program, HOWEVER, I do not feel that I am at a time in my life yet where I can safely do that. I recovered from an eating disorder about 2 years ago which I developed unhealthy eating and exercise behaviors (meaning ate less than 1000cal a day and exercised for hours on end) but through family, friends, and counseling I was able to recover faster than most people do. I have now found a healthy balance in life by NOURISHING myself and doing activities that I love! These 80 day obsession workouts are super fun for me AND it builds a loving and supportive community no matter what your journey! So I’m excited to tackle these 80 days of workouts with my fit foundation team and to better my business with their help! 💕❤️💕🤗 .

Back to the grind tomorrow, these past few weeks of holidays have consisted of little training and lots of eating/drinking so it’s time to get back the results I had managed before Christmas and New Years 😂😎 Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely enjoyed my time off and my body definitely needed a little rest but I’m looking forward to having my routine back. I didn't start my health journey 5 months ago because I was unhappy with the way I looked. My goal was not to loose weight. I just wanted to heal my body from within.
And now: My eczema is gone. My anxiety is improving. And I'm living a lifestyle I never thought was possible.
Naturally, as a side effect of changing my diet I also got leaner.
But my message is this: What I look like in either picture does not change my WORTH, my BEAUTY, or my LOVABLENESS.
Try to keep this in mind when you see other people's before-and-after pictures, or when viewing your own. Love your "before" just as much as you love your "after" ❤

R1D15 ended with buffalo chicken over a baked potato with dump ranch and a side of broccoli..stick a fork in me I’m done!
I was craving Khmer food so bad!! Lol I was lazy to use the Mortar and pestle to make the #bokapih to eat with fresh veggies....lol I ended using a blender and hitting the grater option! It still came out good! So, to all my Khmer folks, if you're lazy lol, try the blender! Khmer food always has a side of protein. I quickly marinated my beef and fried it...was too hungry to cook.. I’ve been on my health journey for a little over 6 months and have incorporated walking and hiking into my habits of motion, but felt it was time to add some toning, strengthening and stretching to the mix. A fellow health coach, Eling shared a 30 day yoga program with me that you can do in your home, when it’s convenient for you. It began on January 2nd and I’m LOVING it. At first I tried to figure out how I could add it to my routine and still have time to get ready for work in the mornings. The funny thing is, I can now fit it in and end up with extra time in the mornings. Guess I’m just so Zen now that I can pace my day out a little better. 🤣🤣 But seriously, I’m amazed at how my body is changing, the calmness I begin my day with and how much I look forward to it every day. What habit of motion are you incorporating into your routine to improve your overall health? If you’d like to take some action steps to pursue optimal health, I’d love to assist you in this endeavor.
