The forecast kept changing but we did end up with 40F at runnin’ time! Got in 3.4 miles with some threshold effort and a modest uphill on the way back. Gotta get those hard runs in because the sidewalks might be icy tomorrow.

It felt SOOO good to get those lungs burning! It's been forever since I got some good sprints in and I LOOOVED it!! Ooh, and I got to break in my new Brooks tonight!! Ordered some @caterpylaces to go along with then and can't wait to get my favorite laces on them!!

Really nice to be back at the hills last night . I love the club runs, running in a group always makes me push that bit more & the fact that our coach chases us up and down the hills shouting at us 😂 to give that bit more really gets you emptying the tank !! When the going got tough I just tried to hold on telling myself to dig in that bit deeper as I’ll need this extra level come April 22nd .

Yesterday I had a late night workout, including intervals (10×1 minute) 🏃🏻 This morning I started my day with a nice and slow yoga practice (hence the photo, I was as zen as this sunset 😂) 🙏 I feel like that's the best of two worlds; the sweat and the high-intensity from running and the stillness and the "humble approach" (to the practice and to life in general) from yoga. I really enjoy standing on three legs now with running, lifting and yoga - it feels like they conplete each other 😊

Nachdem ich letzte Saison nur ein Rennen absolviert habe, bin ich super gespannt, wie diese Saison verlaufen wird. Bikefitting ist gemacht, der Schwimmkurs für eine bessere Kraultechnik läuft, Wettkämpfe für 2018 sind rausgesucht (und zum Teil auch schon angemeldet). Ich habe mir einen Zettel mit meinem Ziel aufgehängt, auf dem steht: "17. Juni 2018 Hennef Triathlon: Swim 0:32, Bike 1:04, Run 0:55, T1/T2 0:03, Total 2:34". Ist das realistisch für die erste Olympische Distanz? Schreibt ihr euch auch gerne Zettel mit euren Zielen, um sie immer wieder vor Augen zu haben?

NYC Marathon 2008 was what I consider my first fast marathon. Before the start of the race, one of my friends from when I used to live in Vegas, told me I would run at 3:15. @timeisaflatcircle93 do you remember that???? Well, I do!!!! I took Shaun seriously and decided if this fast marathoner has confidence in me, then I might as well go for it. I started off way too fast and ran one of my fastest half marathons in the marathon. I was dying. I could barely stand the cheering on first Avenue but once I hit Central Park, I felt life back in my legs thanks to a Dixie cup full of coke (pop/soda to be clear) from a man in the Bronx. And boom. Crossed the finish line as Shaun predicted in 3:15. RSD 1,148 & 1,149: we had a snow day here in Baltimore yesterday. I didn’t take a pic at the gym after work, but I did catch a snap of this adorable snowy Peanut. Made it to the gym tonight after playing a show and managed to lay a mile down to keep the streak alive. I’ve reached that point in the winter where I’m fed up with the treadmill. Not fed up enough to bundle up and run outside yet, and there are still some patches of ice... but.... I’m officially bored of basically running the same run everyday. I need to pull out some of those treadmill workouts I did my first winter running.

Not so impressive when it comes to Mumbai Marathon.
2 starts and 1 finish so far. Infact, this Sunday would be first time I would be starting on the Mumbai Marathon start line without an injury. Also, this year, it's a bigger responsibility for me with pacing duties. All the best to everyone running the biggest running event of the country.
Push-ups challenge - Day 22/22
I was nominated by my friend @phuc_spartanracer to do #22pushupchallenge (I’m doing 2x22 sets of push ups today because more is better) a day for 22 days to raise awareness for all Veterans, dealing with the debilitating disease known as PTSD. On average 22 Vets a day commit suicide. Too many heroes are taking their own life! This a small way to raise awareness for that issue in the U.S.
Push-ups alone will not solve the problem, but this challenge is designed to raise awareness for a very real problem. I to nominate @getreal2me99 🤙🏽 The rules are simple:
▪️Once you are nominated, your 22 days starts the following day. ▪️Every day you record yourself doing 22 push-ups. Try your best to reach 22. If that means doing assisted (from your knees) push-ups or that you have to stop and take a break or against the wall, that’s fine; try to get them done in one video. ▪️Every day you must nominate a different person. Try to choose people you think will want to do this and/or have the ability to do it. ▪️And finally, have fun with this. This is a simple way to get the word out about a matter that more people need to know about and understand. It is unfortunate that so many dealing with difficulties feel that suicide is or may be the only way out.

Chiang Mai...Hello! We arrived at 6am local time and after a short taxi ride to the hotel, it was time to explore the local area with a quick 10k.. of course it was a out and back as every runner does on the first holiday run! Haha.. The #TRNR running and nutrition camp with @sagecanaday@sandinypaver and @harryruns starts this evening, needless to say I’m SOOO excited for 4 days of veggie food, running in the mountains with everyone, taking in this beautiful city and just being around like minded people! Life doesn’t get much better than that!
