Garden food. Country dinner from earlier, not to be confused with supper. Where I come from we had breakfast, dinner and supper. Summertime meals were mostly from the garden, eaten at the table with the family on that vinyl tablecloth that was still a bit damp from when Sister wiped it before setting the table but then you shouldn't be putting your elbows on the table anyway. And don't worry about the fried stuff. You'll work it off in the fields later.
