Super happy and proud to have diyed this flooring!! A friend helped me source for it online (made in China) and I have to say I'm totally amazed that it literally is remove backing and stick on floor (swipe to see video). Since I only have this space for a year, I was willing to risk the common problems that are said to arise with such peel and stick flooring, like some unevenness or gaps later on.
It feels really good for now and more importantly, it has lent a warm feeling to my new space in the most cost effective way for the size (about $1000 for 1100sf). When starting anything new, I always try to minimise costs and do everything myself (but I'm super aching today from the back breaking work 😅). For those asking about supplier details, I can't share more about where to order from cos i didn't do it 😅😅 plus being a noob myself, I daren't introduce a brand I'm only using for the first time. but at least now we all know there's peel and stick flooring!

Judge Constance Baker Motley (September 14, 1921 – September 28, 2005) an African-American civil rights activist, lawyer, judge, state senator, and Borough President of Manhattan, New York City. Judge Motley was the first African-American woman appointed to the federal judiciary. In 1944 Judge Motley became the first black woman to be accepted into Columbia Law School, where she met Thurgood Marshall, chief counsel for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Judge Motley played a major role in the legal preparation for the 1954 Brown vs. Board of Education case and was the first black woman to argue a case before the United States Supreme Court. In addition to fighting for the rights of blacks to get into segregated schools, Judge Motley also defended protestors arrested during the Freedom Rides sit-ins of the early 1960’s.
In 1964 Judge Motley entered politics. She was the first woman to be elected into the New York State Senate in 1964 and in 1965 became the first woman to hold the position of Manhattan Borough President. President Lyndon B. Johnson appointed Motley to the United States District Court in 1966, making her the first African American woman to hold a Federal Judgeship. *
