So a little story time (I talked about this topic on my IG stories this week)... when I went vegan over three years ago I thought I was immune to getting sick like catching the flu or getting food poisoning.... I WAS WRONG 😭🙈. @chancythevegan and I have learned that sometimes we need a little extra help to fighting sicknesses or just avoiding them all together ❤️

Rainy day calls for baking cookies 🍪🥛 I used @bobsredmill paleo baking mix and followed @shutthekaleup chocolate chip cookie recipe and they came out delicious! Recipe below: - 1 cup of @bobsredmill Paleo baking mix
-1/2 cup of nut butter
- 1/2 tsp of baking powder
- 1/2 cup of maple syrup
- 4 tbs coconut oil
- dash of cinnamon
- 1/2 chocolate bar .
Combine ingredients and bake at 350 for 10 min! #bobsredmill#ad
@true_food_kitchen always does it right! Got the Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl with chicken and it was amazzzzzing! Had a bunch of veggies and avocado (yum) in it with a brown rice and quinoa blend! Eating healthy in restaurants isn’t that hard, even if I was in a healthy farm to table restaurant 😂

A small video about the first day of the 2018 CrossFit open. Everyone killed it and things like this, make me proud to be a gym owner. .
The support each and every round, for each and person was EPIC! It just goes to show the real friendships bonded from all walks of life that our gym gives you. .
The weather was terrible but it did not dampen our spirits.
Whole30 has been a lifesaver literally. I had to go out of town yesterday for a memorial service and was able to eat healthy food thanks to everything I packed. I made a double serving of tuna salad with olives as well as chicken, ratatouille & sweet potatoes. I also packed easy to eat items such as go Chomps, apples, larabars, raisins and pistachios. These were great for the long car ride. I’m glad I’m doing a #whole180 the urge to emotionally eat was definitely there but thanks to planning ahead and discipline I was in control. ❤️

I’m just really grateful to wake up every day in a body that I love. For the first time in a long time, I’m grateful for the time I get to spend alone. When I reflect on my choices, I am content. I don’t know when it happened, but I genuinely love life again. I guess you can all just take this as another one of my periodic reminders to put yourself first and believe in your own abilities. You can also take this as another picture of my ass. Whichever.
Do you ever take a photo, and then find it later and not even remember that moment even happening? Are you truly feeling your adventure? Are you immersed into the best parts of your life? Sometimes when we move fast, we blink and a good moment is gone forever. Today, i challenge you to slow down and feel a moment. It doesn’t have to be epic. Take a moment to drink your coffee and dive into your own thoughts. Spend time with yourself and people around you. Slow down. Life is pretty cool when you allow yourself to feel all the good around you.
Everytime I’m in this beautiful city I question why I leave... ✨✨
