Clara goes to open the door as she hears knocks sounding upon it. Sharon stands at the entrance smiling. "Good morning Clara." "You're early this morning," Clara says with a smile and lets Sharon walk in. They both make their way to the kitchen, where Clara readies a cup of coffee. "That's another thing to tick off our list. You've learned to use the coffee machine," Sharon chuckles whilst sipping from the mug. Over the last two months, Sharon has come to visit Clara for an hour every second day, teaching her how to use different things and telling her what has happened over the past seventy years. Even though they are assigned to each other, they have become more like best friends. "What update have you brought for me today?" Clara questions as she sits on the couch. Sharon follows her example and takes a seat opposite her. "Not the usual. Fury rang me up. He wants to know if you've thought about his offer." Clara sighs and looks at her hands. "I don't know, Sharon. I was forced into the fighting business. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm happy with who I've become." Sharon flashes a comforting smile. "Would you at least consider a little tour, just to get a taste of what you're denying here?" "I'll think about. I really just want to lay low.” Sharon nods acceptingly and continues to drink her coffee.
30 MINUTES EARLIER
Sharon hops in her car and turns on the engine. Before she can back out of her park, her phone buzzes. She looks at the number and recognizes it as Fury's. She accepts the call and holds the phone to her ear. "Sir?" "Are you at Clara's house?” "I'm on my way right now," Sharon replies. "I'd like you to ask her if she's thought about joining SHIELD," Fury states. "Of course, sir." "And before you hang up, don't tell her about Steve. Not just yet. I want her to decide on her own terms, not because of familiarity," Fury warns. "Absolutely," Sharon agrees and hangs up.
