JULIJA SALER - WORKS ON PAPER EXHIBITION⠀
Julija is an artist, expressionist and a free spirit. She is Austrian with Croatian roots but is currently based in Ireland.⠀
She is inspired by old walls and nature. Julija’s pieces of art evolve through many layers of acrylic colours and would all show up the golden leaf that comes through to sparkle. For the artist this is a synonym for the divine, the divine within the rollercoaster of life.⠀
Her soul or energy painting techniques create artworks which give a sense of calm and joy as she breathes new life into old walls.⠀
Julija sees the wonder in simplicity, she transmutes this viewpoint into gorgeous paintings bursting with colour and character. This is to remind us to never overlook the beauty we are surrounded by just because it may appear as simple.⠀
“With my paintings I try to catch the wonders in simplicity. I give them colour, shape and the special glow that we are all looking for but carry within us at the same time.”⠀

There’s a lot I’ve been trying to explore personally. This world, freedom, and the lost kindred spirits🌟 One of my favorite artists is @sigurros. When I listen to them it’s like life exists but there’s no time. I begin to love every element on this earth🌹Then I realize I need these stories to be kept alive, and to be shared with the rest of the world. It’s then I am able to understand myself better because I’ve dived into something beyond belief. The next collages will be inspired by @sigurros music & I hope you give them a listen if you haven’t already🌌💐🌺🌛

Bonheur perdu, bonheur enfui
Je ne sais pas son nom, je ne sais rien de lui...
Il m'a aimée tout la nuit...
Et me laissant à mon destin...
Il est parti dans le matin
Plein de lumière
Il était mince, il était beau
Il sentait bon le sable chaud
Mon légionnaire !
Raymond Asso, 1936

Let go, give these ghosts a new home;
Let's bury our past and our fears and all these bones.
Let's go, I should've seen it long before;
'cause this is my life
I will not run in circles
Ending where I start.
Circles out of a million handdrawn lines: Took me more than a few days and a few nerves! 😌
