Current mood. Footloose and fancy free. 🤙🏼 It’s been quite a while since I’ve crossed borders and strayed from the routine of Vancity life. I used to fancy myself a world traveller before IG existed...before FB, when I lived in a few places overseas and lived in a van and checked continents off my bucket list. It’s so easy for life to catch up with you and years to pass when you realize you’ve all of a sudden become grounded in a city and your priorities change. I’m ok with the path I’m on and happy with where I am, but sometimes it’s necessary to lose track of time and reminisce about days spent footloose and care free. Great 4-mile run tonight at run club with Alyssa & Jena. Alyssa kicked my butt, and I kicked it at the end to try to catch up with Curtis at the end (hence that 7:19 pace for a hot second 💪🏼🏃🏽♀️). And as much as I love running in shorts and a tank top in February, I think I’ll be okay if we get one more good freeze before spring...

Running 9 miles on a treadmill is not where it’s at! When preparing for this training cycle, I secured a babysitter for my youngest specifically for Thursday tempos. Unfortunately, this week she had to cancel, so on the treadmill I went. #marathontraining#netflixandtreadmill#whateverittakes
The best part of a new watch is all the new records it thinks I’m achieving - longest run, fastest 5k and fastest mile!! 🏃🏼♀️LOL! It was 6 miles with 2 miles of 1:1 fartleks with my fav morning running partner @quinlananna. Who has two thumbs and just finished his first marathon training cycle?! @ruggedwoodsman! After 20 weeks of training, the hubby is ready to ROCK the @phxmarathon! Looking back, I don't think he missed a single run! I'm so proud of his dedication and determination and can't wait to cross the finish line with him on Saturday as he becomes a MARATHONER! #ItsGoingDownAtPHX
