Sif is the golden-haired Norse goddess of wheat and prosperity. She is also the wife of the thunder-god Thor, and the mother to their daughter, Þrúðr. She has a son, Ullr, from her previous relationship, which is relatively obscure. Not much is known about Sif, save that she was very vain until her hair was shorn by Loki as a practical joke. Her hair was restored to her by the two dwarf sons of Ivaldi when Loki goaded them into a bet against the dwarfs Brokk and Eitri.
Asked about why fans should be excited about the movie, the actor dropped a shocking number. "This is one of the biggest things in film history and to be a part of it was just incredible. I think what these characters are about to face — with Thanos — there’s been nothing quite like it. There are 76 cast members or something like that. I think what people are going to be excited about is what I was excited about and that’s Thor meeting the Guardians and Iron Man meeting Doctor Strange."
76 cast members - "or something like that" - is a massive number for a superhero ensemble and while many of those are no doubt minor parts or cameos, Infinity War is clearly going to make history!
"They’re going to be massive," Hemsworth said of Infinity War and its untitled sequel. "I finished literally two days ago and I looked at (directors) Joe and Anthony (Russo) and said, ‘I don’t know how you guys have gotten this far and I don’t know how you’re going to hold it together and complete this thing, but my hat’s off to you.’"
