Marcos 10:46-52-> "Então chegaram a Jericó. Jesus parou e disse: “Chamem-no”. O cego respondeu: “Mestre, eu quero ver!”
__ Yla Fernandes
Caleb had to basically write every post for the last week up until the other day. I’ve been freaking out. About having my first ever dog.
I’ve asked since I was 5 year old about a million times. Can I tell you why this has been so important to me?
I felt like an outcast throughout my life. I had times where I had lots of friends surrounding me, but I never really let anyone in. I had times (like in 6th grade) where I would sit alone at the lunch table. I hid so much of what was going on inside of me. I always had a big smile on from the outside and hid so much pain I was feeling on the inside.
I talked to my stuffed animals as a kid. I made them necklaces. 😂But I wanted a dog that could always be by my side. To fill this huge hole I was always feeling.
And you know what, I’m so glad I didn’t get a dog until now because what a disappointment it would have been then. Because a dog was never and will never fill that deep longing to be known, loved and accepted. Sure it can make me happy. But in no way is it a long term solution.
Through Jesus I’m learning to be accepted. To receive His love. To be vulnerable in my pain and joys. Through God giving me my husband I’ve learned more about unconditional love and acceptance. He’s seen me at my very worst moments and has still loves me which is a shocker to me.
I’m so happy to have Honey Bear🍯🐻 our puppy. She’s such a great joy in my life. A gift I didn’t need that brings so many laughs and learning.
But thinking about what this season is all about, that’s what is most important. What’s most important to you? Did you ever have a point in your life where you felt like an outcast? Love hearing from you! 📸 @emily.magers

(THE THIRD TEMPLE!!!):
( #Revelation 11:1-2 KJV) - "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months."
(THE ANTI-CHRIST & THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION!!!):
( #2Thessalonians 2:4-6 KJV) - "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time."
( #Daniel 9:27 KJV) - "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."
( #Matthew 24:15-16 KJV) - "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:"

Day 12 for Christmas Reading Challenge//
"Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.' When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, 'Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.' So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.” ~ Luke 2:13-20 (NIV)
Christ has set us free! Let’s use our freedom to serve one another humbly in love and to do good for our Lord 🙌

@Regranned from @aussiedave - English poet Samuel Johnson said “great things are performed not by strength, but by perseverance.” And a follower of Jesus named Paul wrote that perseverance “produces character and character produces hope.” We all want to do great things and have good character … but in order to get these, we first need to develop perseverance.
When I got my first professional camera five years ago, I had no idea what ISO, shutter speed or f-stops were—or how they worked together to create images. Back then, if I’d tried to take a photo after the sun had set like this one, the result would have been a dark, unusable image because I didn’t know how to slow my shutter speed or raise my ISO to let in the light needed to get usable image. But I persevered. I didn’t let 1000s of dark, blurry images discourage me or wear me down. Perseverance is hard, especially when you feel discouraged, but the Hebrew word for perseverance—“hatmada”—comes from a root meaning “regular sacrifice”, which is exactly what persevering is, right? You regularly sacrifice your time, energy and comfort for a greater reward.
Are you in need of perseverance today? Do you need strength to make the regular sacrifices that will lead to something better? If you LIKE this post and write HATMADA in the comments and this community will pray for you.
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial” — James 1:12
