HEY SO. I know some of you apologise for not having cash to give me but I want to say that this morning was probably the best example of why your words and messages still mean the world to me -
Someone (she said she has something to do with buskers I can’t remember lololol) came up to me while I was setting up and gave me a verbal lashing about how I’m not meant to have my prints out, or any finished paintings and that I was taking up too much space (that last one is fair - I tell people myself that I’m taking up too much space). Anywayssss I’m not one to pick a fight while I’ve got sticky tape in my mouth, so I just nodded, rolled up Mia Wallace, watched her walk away, and then taped down 4 more rows of prints 😂 #SozMateIGotBillsToPay
(Btw - her reason for not having prints out is because it implies that I’m selling them. But it would be impossible for me to calculate how many of those I’ve given away. Sheesh). So if I looked like I was seething while I was painting - I apologise. Everyone (else) was so sweet today, and it meant the world (GENUINELY) 🌻💖
P.S I just got the license to busk at Circular Quay, so after the Chinese New Year installations come down, I’ll be going there too!!!
P.P.S thanks so much for the photo honey!!!! 💕
We have been taking more walks. At the parks. In the evenings. Something about the greenery, that soothes the soul. Something refreshing, about breathing in the cool night air. Somehow, it just...satisfies. The ruffledness. The restlessness. The hurridness. They somehow dissipate. °
One of the things I am very thankful for. And this leaf is a reminder of the beauty of nature, and the gift of the Creator to us. °
It's only been a little over a month since I started playing around with digital art, and I feel like I've grown so much, and have gotten so much better. If I had given up over the many frustrations I came across while working with this totally unfamiliar medium, I wouldn't have gotten to where I am now with it. This piece is probably my most favorite one I've worked on, and I'm looking forward to seeing all the new favorites I come up with in the future. Keep trying, experiment, and try to have fun! Even if you do feel like throwing your art out the window when you get frustrated like me 😅
Yay #artistleague on tomorrow, (more spaces available if anyone is keen??) such an awesome way to wrap up the working week.. #20minutesketch of @dylancooperart from last week, my Aunty Rita is our model tomorrow, I better paint her favourably so she doesn’t disown me 😂🙊..
