    Great way to alienate poor people from veganism movement and eating healthy. I grew up fucking poor, and am now a proud vegan as I can afford to eat healthy due to my student loan, however if this is the attitude of the veganism community toward people without the money to accomplish these things? Fuck yourselves. This post shows how privleged and unaware some of you are of the world around you. Ashamed of this blog and some of the veganism community after seeing this.

  • @somethingdecent December 11, 2017

    @elidingwall I see where you’re coming from but I interpreted it as the fast food dollar menu, I think that was the aim. Not the dollar menu in the grocery store (as there isn’t one).

  • @elidingwall December 11, 2017

    @somethingdecent the sad fact is though if you are a family that is both time-poor and financial-poor dollar menus may be all you can afford, this post demonises that and that's what I have an issue with.

  • @somethingdecent December 11, 2017

    @elidingwall you can get a bag of rice for 1 dollar, don’t need to get fast food which (in quantity) is more expensive than buying groceries

  • @somethingdecent December 11, 2017

    @somethingdecent or pasta, beans etc

  • @elidingwall December 11, 2017

    @somethingdecent we aren't taught basic life skills like cooking in schools, so people simply don't have that knowledge, which is also a huge problem

  • @somethingdecent December 11, 2017

    @elidingwall of course, more life skills need to be taught in schools. I came out of school with no idea how to look after myself independently! I hope the system progresses one day soon.

    Speak! Too many omega 6 fatty acids from burger and chicken uggets interferes with omega 3 production...depression is the result.
