It's still #mirrormonday for another hour here 😊
I went to dentist today and didn't die. I'm free from this torture for another 6 months.

EXAGGERATED (opposite) swings ⬆️⬆️
On the LEFT: my only thought here was to open my shoulders as quick as possible while maintaining the tilt (keeping the lead shoulder down) as I turn. Notice how far outwards my hands begin to move immediately from the top of the backswing.
On the RIGHT: my thought here was the exact opposite. I’m trying to keep my shoulders closed for as long as I can to start the downswing (while getting the trail shoulder to drop as soon as possible). Notice how my hands drop steeply towards my trail thigh with very little outward movement.
NEITHER of these swings would be considered highly “functional” long-term. They are entirely opposing extremities of hand path and shoulder/hip movement.
The goal of this video was to show how the path of the hands in the downswing is LARGELY manipulated by the rotation of the shoulders/hips in transition (and early downswing). There are plenty of answers here. Enjoy and tag your friends 👊👊
